WashU Mindfulness Day

Mindfulness practices have existed for thousands of years, and have seen a newfound explosion of popularity in the 21st Century. Join us for a daylong exploration of modern and traditional mindfulness practices.

Presented by the Mindfulness Science and Practice cluster of the Incubator for Transdisciplinary Futures.

The inaugural WashU Mindfulness Day will feature a research symposium on current mindfulness-adjacent research happening at WashU, drop-in meditation practice opportunities, showcases from local community partners, an opening Dharma Talk by Don Sloane, a presentation on Mindfulness and Anti-Racism from Amit Bernstein, director of Moments of Refuge, and a keynote speech by Dr. Richard Davidson, the founder and director of the Center for Healthy Minds at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. A reception with food and drinks will follow the keynote speech.
